Peculiar Party Ministry
Team FAQ's
What is the cost for
being involved on the team?
There is no “charge” for being on the team. We have team
shirts that you will be expected to purchase when you have
been on the team 6 weeks. Cost is $10.
We go to a puppet festival in the fall in Fort Worth. Cost
for this is usually about $30.
I-Fest in Chicago in the summer is also something we like
to do. Cost is normally about $550 for flight and
registration.
Do I have
to buy a puppet?
Many of the puppeteers have their own puppets. Although
this is not required, it is encouraged. Puppets make great
birthday or Christmas gifts. It’s also a good idea to let
the puppeteer earn the money for it.
How is the
puppet team funded?
In addition to the above expenses, we have other expenses.
(i.e. puppets, props, costuming, etc.) This money comes out
of our puppet fund as well. We have fund raisers throughout
the year and also accept donations and love offerings. God
supplies as we are obedient to him and eager to serve!
How many
puppeteers can be on the team?
As many as I have the adult leadership to
handle adequately! I don’t want the puppeteers to get bored
(I want to keep them all busy!) Some of the songs and
productions we do require 20-25 people. I think 20 is a
good number for our team. How big can we think?
Where do
you get puppets?
Below are
some websites:
www.puppetproductions.com (We like
the Innova and Toones line here.)
www.armslength.com (no longer
manufacturing puppets)
www.onewaystreet.com (Don’t care for
the puppets here.)
www.puppetry.info (Puppetry Homepage
– full of links and information)
